Anyone on Blind? Doesn't seem like the restructuring is related to COVID...What's going on? https://www.cnbc.com/2020/08/28/coca-cola-to-restructure-workforce-and-it-sets-voluntary-job-cuts.html
Guessing here - maybe people are becoming health conscious and cutting down on things that cause obesity - a big risk factor for covid impact on individual health.
Or maybe when people drink coke at home, they don’t do so in 32oz cups! The soda cup sizes at fast food places, movie theaters and sports arenas had become ridiculous!
Also coke from grocery stores is lower margin compared to all those places you mentioned
Those massive sizes are actually a really good business model (just massively unhealthy). All those Colas from theatres and restaurants come from concentrated cola syrup bought in bulk, and just add soda water. It literally costs them cents per gallon. To customers it seems like good deal to pay 50 cents more to increase to 32oz, but it only costs Coca Cola a couple extra cents.
This is becoming fairly routine for coke. I live in Atlanta and know people who got laid off in the last reorg about 7 years ago, and they did one about 7 years before that too. All of them about the same percentage layoffs.
I heard coke can help heal COVID?
Scientists can’t really say. The ones who might’ve survived Covid died from obesity.
You’re mixing up coke with bleach
If we add a little bit of sugar to coke, instant diabeetus!
Diet coke to avoid obesity. 0 calories...
And conveniently ignore what carbonic acid and Sodium do to your body? #corrosion
Theres really very low sodium actually
Microsoft employees no longer have access to free unlimited soda.
Restaurants couldn’t pay their vendors, and now they are serving RC Cola! 😂
Most people get Coca Cola when they eat out, party, go to a bar, take a plane etc. Not really covid friendly activities
