Job offer from Alexa and got a call from another team in retail as well
I wouldn’t quit Microsoft if you can avoid it
AWS basically sells operations. To say retail or Alexa come close to the “hectic and high pressured” state of AWS would be false.
I was at retail, liked the team a lot, but people said that I came at good time and year ago it was oncall hell due to small team size and fast project use growth and it took time for them to fix it
Usually less than AWS on average from what I hear (AWS has a huge range of products, each with different maturity/stability). But still a shithole. URA target is actually higher in certain Alexa divisions because of dumb projects. Oh I would actually say there is way more politics involved in Alexa since it's run like a startup
TCOGTFO!
