I got galaxy s7 recently and I totally love it. but I'll be joining apple soon. curious to know if using Android is looked down upon? ( I'm not joining iPhone team)
I heard that Apple employees not using Apple products are looked down upon like scum.
Its kinda similar with non-Win phones at MS.. and using Google as your search engine (in private).. and vim/emacs on Cygwin as your editor.. and...
Nope
I've never seen anyone not use an iPhone. You'll probably get one for work; most people use it for both work and personal.
which roles get iPhone for work? I am going for an EPM positron.
I think everybody gets them... Which EPM team are you going to?
If you're at Apple, better drink the kool aid and throw your android in the garbage (where it belongs)
I expected you to work for Uber based on that comment, wtf Lyft
What does not liking android have to do with uber? Android's a cheap iPhone knockoff, let's be honest. At least Windows Phone had some original thought behind it.
You were made fun of if you had an iPhone at Microsoft. I know that.
Yes maybe 2 years back. Definitely not any more.
I always made fun of the people carrying Windows Phones. Miss those days, not many of those left
You may get an iPhone depending on which team you're on. And if you get a phone they normally pay for the phone bill too
Why do you need a work phone? Are you on call? I always figured Apple had a way to keep those chains on your nutsack.
Nope you don't necessarily need to be on-call to be able to get your phone bill taken care of my Apple. As far as I know, some teams do it.
Also I've never seen a full time employee without an iPhone (personal or company)
It's a cult. So yes, they will look down on you.
We're not a cult, but I guarantee your management will notice.
Lol
I'll probably join around mid to late August. hope they are okay seeing me with an android for a month. I think the next iPhone will be available around mid to late September
I heard Apple doesn't innovate anymore
I've seen a number of folks use Androids.....mostly newbies and interns though. You'll be fine using it for a while. Welcome aboard @gladiator
are we in 19th century?
