are we in 19th century?

Microsoft HrmM05 Jul 6, 2016

I heard that Apple employees not using Apple products are looked down upon like scum.

Yahoo Ja$3$aJ Jul 6, 2016

Its kinda similar with non-Win phones at MS.. and using Google as your search engine (in private).. and vim/emacs on Cygwin as your editor.. and...

Microsoft BingPow Jul 6, 2016

Nope

Apple TQ2281 Jul 6, 2016

I've never seen anyone not use an iPhone. You'll probably get one for work; most people use it for both work and personal.

Microsoft gladiator OP Jul 6, 2016

which roles get iPhone for work? I am going for an EPM positron.

Apple TQ2281 Jul 7, 2016

I think everybody gets them... Which EPM team are you going to?

If you're at Apple, better drink the kool aid and throw your android in the garbage (where it belongs)

Microsoft ᕕ༼ •̀︿•́༽ᕗ Jul 6, 2016

I expected you to work for Uber based on that comment, wtf Lyft

Lyft BVEg10 Jul 6, 2016

What does not liking android have to do with uber? Android's a cheap iPhone knockoff, let's be honest. At least Windows Phone had some original thought behind it.

Oracle Oracledude Jul 6, 2016

You were made fun of if you had an iPhone at Microsoft. I know that.

Microsoft Musky Jul 7, 2016

Yes maybe 2 years back. Definitely not any more.

Microsoft ZombieZune Jul 7, 2016

I always made fun of the people carrying Windows Phones. Miss those days, not many of those left

Apple Eubalaena Jul 6, 2016

You may get an iPhone depending on which team you're on. And if you get a phone they normally pay for the phone bill too

Microsoft HrmM05 Jul 7, 2016

Why do you need a work phone? Are you on call? I always figured Apple had a way to keep those chains on your nutsack.

Apple megamex Jul 7, 2016

Nope you don't necessarily need to be on-call to be able to get your phone bill taken care of my Apple. As far as I know, some teams do it.

Apple Eubalaena Jul 6, 2016

Also I've never seen a full time employee without an iPhone (personal or company)

Intel Buckman Jul 7, 2016

It's a cult. So yes, they will look down on you.

Apple Sudo-nym Jul 7, 2016

We're not a cult, but I guarantee your management will notice.

Microsoft HrmM05 Jul 7, 2016

Lol

Microsoft gladiator OP Jul 7, 2016

I'll probably join around mid to late August. hope they are okay seeing me with an android for a month. I think the next iPhone will be available around mid to late September

Microsoft HrmM05 Jul 7, 2016

I heard Apple doesn't innovate anymore

Apple EUKs02 Jul 7, 2016

I've seen a number of folks use Androids.....mostly newbies and interns though. You'll be fine using it for a while. Welcome aboard @gladiator
