is wells fargo relatively forgiving to teach you things ?

at PG we are very flexible to teach people new things. However, there are some things that i never wrote in my resume. i.e. i dont know how to use SAS. Am i fucked if i dont know this at all going into my role (credit risk analytics) tc: 84k -> 110k base + 10k bonus

Just watch some basic tutorials and some details about other tasks you put in Resume. When they ask, they just want to get some idea what level of expertise you have and not from a view to judge you like during interview. So just prepare and be confident so that nobody gets suspicious.

i meant that i already got the offer. however it seemed that they didnt care that i didnt know SAS despite them using that a lot. they liked the fact that i have a lot of practical experience with python and stuff.

If they aren’t worried about it you shouldn’t be either

SAS is widely used but Python is where they’re headed …. they likely hired you for Python bc they’re moving away from SAS like all the other big banks. A few prominent modelers from WF publish white papers on ML/AI - all that work (GitHub linked) is in Python.
