GG. Never thought I'd see the day Canadian Banks are worried to the point they stop hiring. #Canada
Probably because every bank is committing massive fraud and is on the verge of a total systemic collapse? Nahhhh, who would have thought?
I know in the states there are less regulations, but you should be informed that Canadian banks are heavily regulated by the government here. It's why our economy didn't collapse and take as big of a hit as USA did during 2008. Even during the 2020 layoffs, Canadian Banks never stopped hiring nor did they rescind offers. I don't know if Canadian Banks have had hiring freezes in the past but this is a first and it's a pretty big deal here.
The corruption is worldwide, because the US is at the center of it all. Not surprised one bit. This is much different than 08 or any crash in the last 86 years. Much more to come very soon, stay woke.
TD in Canada or TD Ameritrade in US? Never heard of hiring freeze for a Canadian bank, are they in such bad shape or just FOMO of other banks in US?
Lol. Is this confirmed? I doubt they’ll stop hiring in their call centers. It’s a revolving door
? Call centers are THIS close to being completely automated. Get back to reality please
It’s obvious you don’t know what you’re talking about. I’m sure you’ve never worked at a Canadian bank ..and if you have, you have not worked at any of their call centers. They’re not going anyway anytime soon. Don’t bother explaining how there’s technology that can do xyz. If you knew anything about Canadian banks, you’d know why it’s not going away anytime soon
Source ?
Op where did you hear this from? I just got a referral for TD hopefully they still hire
I was just hired. We are hiring like crazy
What's your yoe ? Which role and tech stack?
Which dept / team?
