Given the current economic environment, Is it a good idea to consider moving from Deloitte to Accenture for a 40% hike as well as a title bump? I know it’s hard to predict but is Accenture likely to do layoffs down the road? Thanks!
If you're coming for a specific project, then you should be good. Not a great time to be on the bench and look for a project.
Thanks. Though I’m not sure if I’m coming to a confirmed project. Is it ok to confirm this with the recruiter or hiring manager?
What level are you coming in ? As long as you are coming to a confirmed project, you shouldn’t have a problem .
Yes, unless you need to drive sales and need the network to make it rain.
Thanks! Don’t believe I need to drive sales at this stage, but point noted!
OP- Accenture is planning cost estimations and will do cost cutting/layoffs too. You are good to join if your project is confirmed on first day else avoid jumping the ship.
Depends on the MU. Some are more specific to their job roles than others such as like tech is broad versus strategy. Salesforce vs SAP so the jump is wise.
Should be fine if you get staffed… unlike D, we didn’t lay off during Covid
Accenture has a history of firing employees during down times
They did layoffs 6 months out from the pandemic starting when clients bailed.

I imagine it's close to the same percent chance at both along with my firm. So for the money I'd jump
