I am waiting on an offer from this team at Rippling. Can anyone share what is the work like? What’s the work life balance like etc in this team Role - SWE II - L6 - Backend Can current employees also share more about Rippling and its possible future IPO, perks if there are any etc I have offers from Microsoft and Uber other than this, I want to choose a place with good work but also don’t want to work on the weekends and more than 8 hrs a day. TC: 60L YOE: 3y

Trust me you don’t want my preparation strategy, all I did was stay home for 1 month studying every waking moment. I used to sleep in literal shifts 2hr and 4hr to maximise the retention. I needed to leave LinkedIn asap hence the desperation, if you can take it slow and steady over a period of time.
Desperate to leave LinkedIn? I thought LinkedIn culture was quite good, any specific reason?
There are 2 things 1. Filing is one of horrible work life balance team. (engineer leaving within 3 months is pretty normal for this team) 2. Your base falls with L7 band but position is L6. (So don’t expect pay raise for couple of year even with promotion) IMHO, would like to sacrifice the life for money? If yes go for it.
40 hrs a week - Microsoft is the only option. Rippling culture is really bad and off late Uber is not far behind. Both of these have big PIP culture. Uber is having x% forced PIP since last 2 years. Rippling is even worse. Another thing to consider is that Rippling is probably overvalued and Uber stock has already run 3x in 2 years. So your equity upside is very limited. Microsoft TC will be moderate compared to both of these and career growth will be slow.
