I graduated from a mediocre university with an MBA degree in December and have been looking for jobs everywhere I can. I am basically looking for roles in marketing, specially content marketing, SEO or so as I have 4+ years of experience running my own company and working for a few others back home. Won't call myself an expert but I think I'm good at it. (Grew a few companies to 150k+ users, 17% converting to customers in six months, ran a few lifestyle blogs with over 2m+ organic traffic, etc) I am also working on my own SaaS product, though small, on the side with some remote developers. Does the one year OPT after MBA make all the difference when you are not into STEM? I do have some experience working in a role as a product marketing manager but I don't think I've enough technical skills to move into that though most of it is basically using data and playing with it and writing internal and external content. I'm already doing a few interviews in SF and New York but most employees are concerned with me being an international student in a field dominated by people in the US and one year OPT. Anyone with referrals in marketing roles? Would highly appreciate the help.
