Do home owners recommend folks to buy home warranty? I am thinking of exploring this but just wondering if it is worth it. It is gonna cost me $800 for annual fees $100 for each service visit (so assuming $400 in an year)= $1200+ Services I know I might need this year: Kitchen faucet leakage, washer leakage, broken handle on microwave, a/c duct cleaning (not sure if it is covered). #housing
We have one and it just paid off..great service , big repair on dryer and furnace.., $75 co pay ... had it at last home... used it 4-5 times.. no issues
Tried to use it once and got assigned a company that had all 1 star rating on Yelp. Seemed way less hassle to pick my own whenever I need something fixed.
I’ve only ever had it as a customary thing the seller pays for one year after purchase. AHS is probably the least-worst of them all, but they will still weasel out of paying if they can find any loophole in the contract. And some things, like A/C repairs, they’ll do the bare minimum like fixing a leak or a part but you pay for all the freon at marked up rates ($$$).
Bullshit pay $100 each visit you need a plumper now, he will come after a week.
scam do not do it
OP, did you buy the home warranty? I'm looking in to buying too. How was your experience of you did?
Ohh ok. Why?
Ohh interesting. You looked at the bunch of things I called out that I know I will need this year?
