American Home Shield & Home Warranty

Have horrible experience with AHS and frustrated with their partner contractor companies. Does anyone have a better Home Warranty company suggestion? Company that follows up and provides a better experience. #housing #warranty

Same here, cancelled them. Don’t know of any good options in most states.

Thanks. Lack of options is so frustrating.

just signed up for AHS, I've used others in the past and they were all crap, home warranties are a scam

I was with AHS for 5years as the prior home owner gave it to us as part of the buying process. They are crap

I feel it's the realtor nexus that keeps propagating them

Home warranties are 💩 Never pay for a product where it’s in their best financial interest to deny you service/claims

That's been my experience too

So many people don't get this. The entire point and basically only way these companies make money is to deny claims or spend as little as possible on repairs. The contractors that get these jobs get paid next to nothing. The claims process is by design hellish in hopes you give up. If you somehow make it this far there's a good chance you're getting paid out a small sum based on the value of your old equipment. Sometimes miracles do happen and people have a positive experience, but that's the exception. If everyone got more then they paid into the plan there's no way these companies would be in business.

IsAnyHomeWarrantyCompanyGood() always returns false.

I have Fidelity.. among other things, they covered a $5500 Monogram oven replacement and an $1800 trash compactor.. Those $1,000 annual premiums (including pool and spa) have been worth it for me
