[Offer evaluation] Indeed vs Squarepoint Capital
Hey blinders, I have two offers right now, one of them is from Indeed for an L2 position and other is from SQP here in India. The thing is, I have kinda low balled myself with the SQP offer but work wise I feel that SQP would be better. I need input from you folks which one those I should be choosing. 2.5 YOE Current TC: 27L Indeed: 39L base + 14L signon + 45/4 stocks + 10% performance bonus = ~68L 1st year compensation HFT: 45L base + 5L fixed bonus + 10% performance bonus = 54L first year comp. They initially offered me 35 base + 7 fixed bonus and I negotiated it to 45 base + 5 fixed bonus. But I didn't have this indeed offer at that time. I checked with them if they can match the indeed offer, but they said it will skew their internal scaling, so they won't be doing that. Now I'm super confused between Indeed and HFT. Indeed has great wlb and that I can take permanent remote and end up saving a lot more (live in a tier 3 town peacefully). OTOH, The HFT has only 1 day wfh policy...so that's also one thing to be considered. ++ I see no pros of accepting the HFT offer Lower TC, no option for wfh, statistically worse wlb
Why are you even considering SQP? Their recruiter was very rude, as if they did me a favor by interviewing me. "We only hire from IITs usually, now you're getting a chance".
Yeah, I'm going with Indeed now. :-)
