Planning on leaving my startup where I act as a Head of Engineering / Principal Engineer. Working with full cycle from backend to frontend. There’s a sweet Distinguished Engineer job that resonates with my past 4 years of experience where I extensively worked on remotely configurable / server driven UI systems in my last jobs. I am not sure if I’m a good fit as I never worked at big companies like LinkedIn with a company/org wide impact, but I led the teams of 30-80 people in past and basically am fluent in many languages, understanding entire product lifecycle, knowing how to make it from all angles. My personal languages I work everyday with: Swift, Objective-C, Kotlin, Java, Node.js, Golang, Rust Total YoE: 17 Mobile YoE: 14 Blind tax: $300K + paper money Also looking for any insights of what this role could look like if you’re anywhere close to it. #swe #software #engineering #referral #linkedin

DEs at LinkedIn don't last long. They keep hiring them and they quit or let go in just 1-2 years. But you can try
Why is that? I usually don’t leave the job unless my big project I was working on for a few years is being closed, and I’m left in limbo working on some random stuff, which loses my interest and I’m searching for new challenges.
