Does anyone remember this dude? Got fired from Google, kicked off Quora, banned from editing Wikipedia. Seems like he has been writing long rambling paragraphs on the internet for over a decade now. What's the tldr?? My Tc: $120k

Yeah I’ve read all his stuff and still keep up with him (I’ve probably read everything he’s ever posted). Really talented guy IMO with some good insights into the industry. But also downright neurotic, egomaniac, world-falling-apart level pessimist with grand unrealized ambition. A sort of tragicomic character. Hasn’t done much of interest lately. Mostly writes criticism of capitalism. Focusing on a fantasy book he’s been writing for five years. His original fame came from Quora, a few blog posts, and the fact he got pushed out of google after like six months for spending a ton of time writing criticisms of google+ product direction on eng misc mailing lists. The guy writes and writes and writes, and it’s not always to his benefit

I think he was right about pretty much everything. Bit of an asshole, but a correct asshole.
