Elephant in the room

We’re in a race war. East vs. West. It’s been building for some time now, but with the level of violent civil unrest across the world lately, we can’t ignore that there is a race war going on. Most all of us value life, but we categorically disagree on morality. Some people think in terms of oppression hierarchies (class, race, gender, etc) and can justify anything that is done by an oppressed to the oppressor, while others believe certain acts are morally reprehensible no matter what. Regardless, we all have loyalties to our tribes and refuse to see the world where our own side is ultimately at fault for something and should therefore cede their claims/goals to the other. The stakes are too high. The other element is that most all of us are affected by the opinions of our group instead of thinking critically for ourselves. What the people around us think, is likely what we think. Groupthink at the national scale. We should just admit that the media that is put in our face has a lot more to do with what we believe than we give it credit for. How do we get out of this? How do we prevent this upcoming war? The ground beneath us is shaking and I can’t see a way out

I agree. Unfortunately world wouldn’t learn until a big catastrophic event (like WW1, WW2 etc). We’re on the verge i believe.

Just wait for deep recession to hit the US. All those Asian folks who have moved to white heartland will find out. You know how many shootings took place over the weekend?

This isn’t a race war, it’s a war of nations and their governments. The Western way of life has long been threatened by the East, who seek to usurp the West as the front runner of the globe. The war has been occurring far longer than most of us have been alive and there is little we can do to stop it.

Careem XxWD01 Oct 30, 2023

Yes but it’s driven by race. That’s what Op means.

I don’t know. I’m an Indian woman but born and raised in the US and married to a white European man. It’s about culture and values. I’m more in line with western values than Indian.

How did it become a race war? It's a war between two countries. Unfortunately idiots who have nothing to do with it are supporting their own race in other countries

Many countries are correlated to race.

Qualtrics Hashbrownz Oct 30, 2023

So? Same logic says it could be different religion, language, weather, or even dominant currency.

Amazon nonymously OP Oct 30, 2023

When people are getting stabbed to death in other countries for their race its a race war. When people are calling for a genocide of a race in other countries its a race war. When mobs across the world are actively looking for people around them to kill its a race war

Qualtrics Hashbrownz Oct 30, 2023

There's been racially motivated killings in the US for centuries. Many recent mass shootings have had a racist element. We don't call it a race war here

Block timecube Oct 30, 2023

I agree with pretty much everything you said, except it’s deeper than race. It’s about cultural values and norms. Of course, race is connected to those as well, but it’s not the primary motivating issue.

It’s a race war. West values or sees the easter culture or way of life as inferior to it’s own. It’s well documented- Churchill thought Indians were savages and Britishers could teach them the way of life. It’s always been a race war.

Meta apemode Oct 30, 2023

If the oppressors really valued life they wouldn’t oppress and the oppressed would not be violent unless they life and future have not been slowly squeezed out of them. This is some self-victimizing bs.

Amazon nonymously OP Oct 30, 2023

Do you see everything in the world as oppressor/oppressed?

Meta apemode Oct 30, 2023

Do you see everything in the world as East vs West?

If you’re a midget, are you with the whites or the blacks?

What exactly does east or west mean in your narrative?

It’s not a race war. It’s a culture war.

It is not a race war. It is democratic countries vs non democratic countries.
