No benefits will be provided. Sell your RSUs to avail any benefits you might need.
Thanks for the info. So no relocation, you mean by benefits?? What other benefits are you talking about?
No golden banana
No Sign on , extreme exceptions. I believe relocation should be standard . No other special perks. And 5 day RTO no exceptions .
If you care about culture/flexibilty even 1 bit don’t take the offer. Your life will be miserable here. You need to come to the office even if you have doctors appointment
Don't take the offer. Family life will be miserable. If the offer is good, try to negotiate something with your current employer.
In line with what you've heard from others: Broadcom tracks badge swipes. Your group needs employees to badge in on a target % of the weekdays of the year. Sick time, vacation, and WFH all effectively count against the target: in any case, you're not badging in. If a division doesn't achieve the target, it will affect the whole division's bonus. So there's incredible peer pressure to be in the office. There's also a bit of comradarie: if you know someone isn't going to be in for a while (e.g., because they were in a car accident and are on extended medical leave) some friends might try even harder to be in every day to balance that out. If your site is really low, it will get named and shamed in a company-wide meeting. There's a stack ranking with a red line. You don't want to below the red line. One site in Q4 had 95%. They got a "good job, you should all be more like them". It's fine if you want to be in the office 5 days a week. If you have a few weeks of time off per year and a day of WFH per month, it'll be okay. But don't join if you're going to bring the average down.
