Visiting home, ran into the kids I used to bully
Just got an offer. 20k stock units. Pre-IPO I feel that that’s a little low. At the current valuation, that’s $192,800 worth of shares. Base is 215+. Don’t want to give the exact number Are there any Mavens here who can comment on the stock? Is that a low number?
Sounds like a decent offer for a preIPO. Solid engineering team and good leadership
Unfortunately true. This is why pre-IPO offers are s***. They will make it out to be some great generous offer based on the overall valuation. But you only profit the difference, valuations are always questionable, dilution is real, there may be restrictions on how soon you can sell after an IPO (when Uber IPOed, most employees were stuck while the price dropped) and if you leave in less than X years, you might have Y days to exercise your options with your own money and be stuck with a bunch of pre-IPO shares that might have complications like a right of first refusal. Who knows if they will even IPO or when. Pre-IPO equity is a nice little bonus that you might get one day. I would barely give it any consideration when evaluating an offer.
Is that your name lol

How is their business model looking? There’s lots of rumors about Biden changing telehealth rules. They should have gone public during Covid.
215 base — was this for senior or staff? Where are you located?
Senior position? I have an offer for mid level. If you want to compare, DM me.
For senior or staff? 20k is pretty good for staff. Really good for senior
Curious about engineering leveling at Maven, the senior role is L4 or L5?
Is that 20k options over 4 years?
How's the eng leadership like , Sr leaders, culture etc
OP, how did you figure out your shares are worth $192,800?

Thanks, can I dm you?
