Had an interview today with a company I was very interested in joining, really cool role too. The technical questions I got were not hard all things considered, but I got shell shocked and just blanked for most of it. One of those moments where as soon as the call hangs up, the answer comes right to my head perfectly, now that I’m not in the spotlight anymore. I feel awful that I blew my chance for this company on a question that wasn’t even that hard, but shit happens I guess, I tried ☹️. I talked through my thoughts though so maybe that could help me.
Yeah it happens to everyone
Yes. Arista n/w. Easy ass binary search question to find missing element in sequence. Was asked to do in Cpp but was out of touch since i usually use python. Tried a recursive approach using pointers. Bombed the test. Felt like killing myself after (not seriously).
Yeah. It’s a suck feeling.
It happens to everyone. May be fate doesn’t want you in that company. Bad culture, bad boss…you never know. If it wasn’t meant to be, it won’t come to existence.
This too shall pass. Life is short. It’s a numbers game. Looking back you’d feel you dodged a bullet.
I hope man, this team and company were really interesting to me
