Planning to buy townhouse. Confused between 2 communities in issaquah highlands, Newcastle. We are currently renting in issaquah highlands and have biased opinion about highlands. Price is comparable in both areas. Budget: 900k-1M Westridgetownhomes in issaquah highlands. Pros: 1. Close proximity to shopping area(walkable), movies, restaurants. 2. Close proximity to I-90 3. Close proximity to parks, hikes, trail 4. Close proximity to hospital(Swedish). Cons: 1. HOA is 470$ 2. 4 floors plan with small rooms 3. No bathtub in master, no walk-in pantry Aldea community in Newcastle. Pros: 1. Much better floor plan with bath tub in master, walk in pantry and patio. More spacious room. 2. Free amenities in community with gym and pool (sharing with Avalon) 3. HOA is 250$ 4. Equidistant from Bellevue and issaquah, so better commute ? 5. Twin town house (called as single family) Cons: 1. Not sure about the neighborhood (walking trails, parks for kids, safety etc..) 2. Less spacious community, highlands has better views from home. 3. Not sure about other cons, feel free to comment. Any insights from people living in these areas is greatly appreciated. #mortgage #housing
If I would rent my townhouse(3 beds room with one car garage) in highlands. how much would be reasonable?
Issaquah highlands : you are paying for experience, a connected and helping community optimized for families with kids. Itβs just a different vibe , different enough for profit pay premium to stay there. For the price of townhome here you can buy a big home in Sammamish etc, but valuations of Issaquah highlands have been holding better than other suburbs around Issaquah highlands.
