Where to buy diamond ring?
I am planning to buy diamond rings . Did little bit search in Costco website, Blue Nile and James Allen. Not sure which one is good. Also heard in India you will good design options. Any experience in buying it here in USA or wait for travel to India and get it from there?
I’ve gotten diamond jewelry from Costco before, most expensive being a $6k diamond bracelet. I love the return policy and amazing quality. I never had anything wrong with any of my pieces and you actually get great pricing for great quality. A friend got her bracelet appraised once and got a higher quote than what he paid for at Costco. I’m a fan. My engagement ring and band are from a different jewelry store but if I could go back I’d get it all at Costco.
Get lab grown one. Cheaper, more ethical, exact same material
Serious question: how would y'all feel if your s/o insists on getting an actual diamond ring?
1. Bring fake diamond to jeweler before 2. Bring s/o to jeweler 3. "Buy" the "real" (fake) diamond for retail price 4. Let the person selling to you pocket $200 of the difference and refund the rest to you 5. Blow up during an argument and say ur ring is fake (optional)

None of these places. The diamond lifecycle Debeers (producer) -->diamond cutter --> diamond wholesalers-->retailer. The most left you can go is diamond cutter. Go to rarecarat.com to find wholesalers. India also have wholesalers but don't trust IGI. Only GIA, as it holds value in any market around the world. Depending on use case the C's matter. The cut is more important (a diamond should have brilliance) for an engagement ring vs the size carat is more important for earings. Husband knowledge passing onto you kids. It's a net neutral asset, hence better to put as little as possible. No price for her smile.
I bought diamonds from James Allen and blue Nile, both excellent choices. I think James Allen has better photos, and I like the user interface better. But in terms of price and quality, both are excellent. Also have done tons of research and know a decent amount.. feel free to dm if you want
