They succeeded in unionizing even after management fired two of the Union organizers. Which companies do you think will be next to unionize? https://www.nbcnews.com/tech/tech-news/kickstarter-workers-vote-form-first-union-tech-industry-n1138006 #union #unionize
What was their goal here?
why dont they Leetcode rather than waste time with union
This is a terribly short-sighted opinion
All this shade posting by people who are most likely to start a new thread about suing for wrongful termination after they’re put on a pip 😂
All employers are exploitative to some extent, but the worst offenders are the ones that unions are for. We don’t see many tech unions because we have been lucky to move around easily due to having skills that are in demand and companies competing for talent. I am a little surprised they actually found it easier to form a union than to just leave.
But their TC is still lower. What's the point of the Union?
Oops
What's their endgame?
Going out of business
Too bad Kickstarter is not public, else could’ve made some money shorting their stock
It’s not really an eng union, just employees in Kickstarter. I bet most of the no votes are from engineers.
Congratulations!
Horrible idea. Already posted and discussed
Why is it so horrible?
Tech employees are NOT mistreated. You want to ruin a good thing? This will do it.
