“Paul is dead” was a cultish phenomenon in which Paul McCartney dies and is replaced by his lookalike. Finding a lookalike is not a problem in this fair world. Something that I learned very late in my life. Understanding this phenomenon requires rationality and exploration of the tribe which could possibly have these answers. I had to be bold enough to interact, extract & distill information out of the immersion. And find out if this outcome sustain in my thoughts in order for it to make sense. Paul is dead as a phenomenon had the similar reflections where a budding Karen is trying to be like the aging Karen. So the question that came in my mind was - “But HOW ?” Ethnography 🔸🔹🔺🔸 This is the superpower in which a new Karen observes to understand the culture of old Karen and participates in exhibition of the signature behaviours by following the footsteps [mimicking] to finally become ‘The Karen’ and thereby conforming herself to the Karen Tribe. So technically: Forward Propagation: Tribe [X][Karen2] -> Tribe [D][Karen1] Backward Propagation: Tribe [D][Karen2] -> Tribe [X][Karen2] Note: There’s a change in tribe in second step from X to D. It’s important to understand what ‘X’ means here. 1. X can be a different mindset in a tribe meaning someone in the family having different views and approach towards life. 2. And it can also be a person realistically from a different tribe who wants to be part of tribe D. So the physical reflections in first doesn’t change and in latter it will be different but can be compensated by adopting the mindset of Tribe D. This concept is also adopted for various other manifestations especially in the drama industry. From Fake Tweet, to Fake Podcast episode to Fake reviews are mere reflections of real life authentic entities. Because the idea is to have more control over the orchestration. One interesting point I noticed in ethnographic experiment is the role observers play in the process. In simpler terms, convincing [manipulation] someone to become an observer takes time. But once the trust is established, Karen focuses on extracting information from the observer to create a cosmetic situation to trap 🪤 innocent people. Because the drama is now more believable. 🔸🔹🔺🔸 I’m attaching below the snapshots for you to understand and make quality judgments and not feel scared by “ill-intent” situations around you. As well as not falling into a trap of changing your behaviour for worse. “Behaviour change is good, if the Intent is good” Misuse Scenario: Karen used her ethnographic superpowers and now gaming the system by calling you incompetent even when you’re doing everything in the right way. 1. “You can have Trust, only if you show [more] accountability” 2. “I trusted you, but data suggests you did not deliver and also you had behavioural issues” 3. “Everyone in the team has suggested that this person should be ousted for above two reasons.”
