I'm currently interviewing for VP individual contributor role with 20+ years experience .I'm hearing base pay is very low around 160k to 180K + bonus + Profit sharing + Shares . Looks like lock in time to vest these as well. whats the maximum base can go for VP role? also I'll be leaving shares in my current company will they compensate with sign on? how easy to get international transfer to different Fidelity office ? Current TC 220K #fidelityinvestments #offer #fidelity #salarynegotiation #salary
VP In finance is basically a Senior (at best Staff) Engineer from tech. In that sense base pay sounds just about right.
Thanks Rivian
Depends on your role and department. Base pay would be max 180-200 but you will have 45-50% bonus assume 85-90k per year, and shares couple of types of shares; yes you can get joining bonus to compensate what you are leaving on table . Profit sharing and 401k match is very high around 17% but to get full advantage of it you need to stick around for 4-5 years, so if you stay long term company would add around 50-60k to your 401k.
Thanks for your inputs !!!

Real talk: in what way private schools are better than public in nyc?
Everyone is a VP in Finance. Itās hard to tell. Are you the VP of sanitation (janitor)?
Amazon - Fidelity VP is not the same as banking VP. You are confusing VP title in banking with the VP title in entire finance. Why speak when you have no knowledge? OP - Engineering VP In Fidelity will still have very low. They can get up-to 400k+ TC so better than what you get now but not compared to typical VP. This base looks low you can go upto 250k base. Now if you are VP is Agile/Program Management or something then obviously pay will be lower than that.
