Intuit Group Engineering Manager role worth it?

Does group manager at Intuit maps to M2 at FAANG? I am frontline EM currently and managing a small team of 8. I received Group Engineering Manager role at Intuit AI. I will manage close to 15 people with future scope of 25-30. Intuit matched my TC via large cash bonuses. Is it worth joining Intuit in current market with layoffs. My job is secure here currently. Is Group manager a up level and get me M2 roles in future at FAANGs? Tc:850k #intuit

Worth it for the step up in scope + the presumably AI relatedwork

I am already managing ML related team.

Not sure about level mapping if I want to move to faang.

Intuit offered 850k for Group EM? That’s insane

I think that their current TC which is also insane

OMG

EM1s make 850 at Pinterest? Or are you EM2, or something like applied science manager?

Pinterest &"08@ OP Mar 15

It's due to stock appreciation. I am ML manager.

Got it, that makes sense. I’m currently interviewing for EM roles at a few places. Saw some openings at Pinterest as well thar are a good fit, would you mind putting in a referral? I’d be super grateful, Amazon has been rough this last yr.

I'd take it. Easier to break M2 at fang if you've supported a larger group and managers

Get the cash bonus and leave. Intuit is a sinking ship with most toxic middle management

Pinterest &"08@ OP Mar 15

Why is it sinking Ship? Earnings seems good and stock is doing well. Also, my motivation is not money given they are matching my comp but not exceeding it. I wanted to join for expanded scope.

They are having random pips even though folks met expectations because they don’t want to pay severance

Intuit laysibe Mar 16

Don’t join Intuit unless you can handle insane level of politics. Forget about career growth. You will be targeted for PIP every possible moment. It’s really difficult to deal with so called leaders over here. It’s really not a tech company and you won’t learn anything fast paced except politics. Please don’t consider TC only, value your career and stress free life as well.

Pinterest &"08@ OP Mar 17

Why is Intuit doing such aggressive pip? Earnings seems to be pretty good and company revenue is growing nicely. Also, how are refreshers and comp growth?

Intuit IntuitFML Mar 17

Refreshers and bonuses have taken a huge hit since last year for your level it should be 150/4-yr and it won't start vesting until a year after

Intuit gk love Mar 17

Don’t join. It’s a PIP machine. Three managers ( Group Product Managers) laid off in one year in a team.

Intuit vhvhbbn Mar 18

Don’t join Intuit, I am actively looking out, can’t take the politics anymore
