levels btw fb and g

was told by a fb recruiter that there is a “golden rule” (if you can believe such a thing) btw fb and g that if you are, for example, a L6 at g, you will go to fb as L6 too. recruiter specifically said this is to prevent people leaving after a year getting a +1 level at fb and going back as +1. true?

Lol

The rule should be to down-level people from other companies... Oh, my bad! They have that already.

No such rule. The recruiter is trying to fuck with you to down level you.

Oracle alwzangry May 18, 2019

Haha, you think?

It's not a rule but it is a pretty serious guideline at HC. OTOH, if you leave for FB, get promoted and return, the promo is honored

Yep, and don't forget that there is a "max" offer as well.

You can tell the recruiter that applicants have a golden rule to not accept offers not matching or exceeding current conditions.

Also ask him/her to sell your used car.

Tell it to your interviewers so they can laugh too

They'll try to down level you and "pay range" you every chance. Don't let them.
