Currently a front end engineer and want to learn java springboot to internally transfer to backend. Does linkedin use spring boot or is it just spring framework. I know its some proprietary bs but what is it closer to in your opinion. What is the best way to prepare my transition and should i tell my current manager now of my intentions
New to industry here .Is there not much career growth in frontend?
there is but I think theres more knowledge to be known for backend and I spent two weeks on a circle lol… its nice looking circle though 😅
lol idt any of you would even know the answer, too lazy to calculate cause i joined in novemeber where the stock was at an all time high
Just tell your manager of your intentions and start taking smaller tickets on the existing codebase. LinkedIn uses Restli for the backbends. Why haven't you posted this in the LinkedIn lounge?
Man, actually people use spring boot nowadays because it makes using spring framework way easier. Spring boot is a part of spring framework only, you will eventually need to learn little bit spring as you go along. You can start with that.
