hi, yoe < 1 tc $150k i currently have two offers, both are startups: 1. solving very interesting problem, very early but well funded, but set in a location i wouldn’t prefer living in (middle of nowhere). benefit of this team is that there are more leadership opportunities for me, hence faster career growth. 2. solving somewhat interesting problem, little older and far more well-funded than 1, but set in a good city id like to live in. only issue is that there are fewer leadership opps than 1, hence slower career growth. what do you think?

leadership opportunities at a shitty startup have, imo, very little value. You don't think Google dishes out E3 and E4 offer letters to VP of Eng's / CTOs from no-name companies? Go with 2, or better yet, FANG.
1 has just raised a couple $M in funding already, if it matters.
Doesn't matter unless you're going in as a co-founder.
