I'm expecting recruiter to move me to onsite stage so want to know if it is worth the prep. After reading lot of negative reviews from TripAction's employees here and Glassdoor, I'm confused. is the company really bad? from outside, it looks like it is going to multi billion dollars enterprise as there are no competitors. Can someone explain pros and cons of people, product, competitor and culture? #tripactions #tripadvisor #tripadvisorcompensation
Meet the team and make your own determination. Interviews are as much of you getting to know the team as is for them to learn about you. You will find people who are hard working and care about the product we are building. Which I strongly believe is the best in the market. If you want to grow fast and want opportunities to prove yourself TA is a great place.
Culture is no different than what most of the reviews and posts are suggesting. Culture is toxic AF. Recent leadership changes and direction are ringing it's death bell. Competition is catching up fast but not from Concur or Amex. Brex, Ramp, and Coupa are close with their travel offerings. Uber is working on stealth. People are mostly Israeli. Enough said. Thank me for saving your career.
From my vantage point, incredible company and team building an N of 1 product in a gigantic industry filled with dinosaur incumbents. I’ve learned a ton here - you certainly have to be comfortable with change and hard work, but you will grow more here than anywhere else. Happy to talk more if need be :)
Don’t walk, RUN, from TripActions. Micromanagement and “constant change because we are a startup” is the worst I’ve ever seen. Product is buggy. Nonstop turnover in every department. No actual technical support team to help clients/end users. The upcoming name change and rebrand is an attempt to outrun bad reputation.
The brand change makes a lot of sense. It will position the company well to sell the combined offerings. It will be additive to support new product offerings.
LOL @ aPNm86… sure, keep telling yourself that 🤣
A lot of these comments are accurate, even the positive ones. It depends on what you’re looking for - if the culture, the leadership style, the shifting priorities, the level of transparency, and the growth you want all fit or not. It can be cutthroat in a painful way here but some thrive on that. Go through with the interviews but with an open mind. Ask a lot of questions, and if they’re met with resistance, avoidance, or answers you don’t like, pay attention to that. Or you could be surprised. I’m rooting for good talent to join. But only if it fits you and you’re ready for it.

@dmj said it right.
Don’t take it. TripActions took years off my life from the stress.
Thanks everyone for your valued contributions. I decided to pass up the opportunity and choosing to stay put.
That's a good decision. I am current tripactions employee and i do NOT recommend this hell hole

Who are these retards asking for dictatorship in India?
Culture is pretty bad. Everything is a black box and many people are jumping ship. Product may be good but despite that, financials aren’t. I would avoid for the sake of sanity and mental health. After working in different companies/jobs that were more demanding/challenging, TA burned me out the worst.
Moreover, People are focused on the product, but what good is that if management hasn’t been able to find a scalable way to make money off the product? I would enquire about the revenue model if possible.
