whats your yoe?
Meta. Uber India is a sinking ship for your tech career.
Why so? I like my work and own big charter driving huge impact at company level
Used to work at Uber earlier, due to high attrition my teams were never stable enough and everybody had false sense of impact due to the promo driven process. Major charters had core work at hq. Meta has a big brand name and potentialy good work. Money wise : don't see stock upside and rsu's form substantial part of the tc.
Most people that go to London eventually return back. Have had several friends who returned back to India from Meta/FB London. When you are in your 30s you don't randomly go to a foreign country or city just because of your job. You would feel lonely as you won't have any close friends or social circle. Also you will feel like a third grade citizen in London so you would regret it sooner and return back to India.
I don’t have great deal of friends in India as they are in different cities. I am an extrovert and I don’t have an attitude to just mingle with people of my country, not very sure about your argument
I completely agree to the point made here ....moved to Amsterdam to work at booking.com...waiting to complete an year and go back and live life king size in india......life in india is much much better if you have good money
Uber India wins in savings. Also, both offers are impressive
Did you join at L5b or were you promoted internally?
Hi OP, did you use current TC or competitive offers in India to negotiate with London offers? I got a couple of offers but they were very low. Meta interview is scheduled at month end. Current TC : 77L Expecting >85L post hike
Hi OP, a little of the topic question, but it would be great if you could help. What's the refresher policy in Uber? Have they recently moved to some new model?
