whats the review process at Lyft like? I was just told by the recruiter that there are semi-annual reviews. Is the grading system the standard meets/does not/exceeds expectations? How are PIPs determined?
You’ll get a rating between 1 and 5 ⭐️s after every ride. Have some gum and bottle water on you at all times.
Needs Improvement, Meets Expectations, Exceeds Expectations, Strongly Exceeds Expectations, Exceptional. If you get NI and don't show improvement, expect a PIP.
Something like 5% NI 50% ME 30% EE 10% SE 5% E, might be wrong but that’s appx
Nice, sounds pretty chill
To the ones who came from F - is it as stressful as in FB?
depends on the team. FB I worked 80+ hours a week, here 40-60 hours a week is manageable for eng. pip is not as aggressive as FB. but things changed since ipo.
Can you share more details? When you mention things changed since IPO, has it gone more or less chill?
At the beginning of every review cycle your peers get a push notification where they are sent to a screen. There they get to rate you from 1 to 5 stars and choose traits like "Good Developer", "Clean Coder" etc. They then get to leave you a tip amount which is then pooled together and that's your annual bonus.
Thanks for the response smug bastard
Damn, beat me to it. But I guess the same can be said for Amazon, but we don’t get to take a piss 🚽
