Why Modi not asking for votes based on work?
Hello! Would really appreciate help in evaluating offer. Current TC: 160 K Base 145K+ 15K bonus Location: Riverwoods, IL New TC : 185K (first year) Base 160 K+ 7.5 % bonus + RSU $30K over 4 years+ 5K relocation Location: Dallas, TX YOE : 7.5 Edit : Updated new TC. Recruiter said that’s the best they could do.
Did you try asking for more stock? you're only getting ~4% of your base as stock every year. Companies usually negotiate better on the stock component.
Thank you! I’m meeting with the recruiter after the holidays will def push for more stock
Not much of a difference to jump the ship (no state tax in Texas makes it a bit better tho). With 7yoe you should target for 200k+ Are you an expert engineer or just application engineer at discover?
Thank you! This is attractive because Paycom has experienced pretty good growth in recent years and I had an overall positive interview experience. I’m a principal at Discover which is in between the levels of application engineer and expert engineer
Discover is not a bad place to work especially with wlb. Looks like principal can make up to 175k at discover so you can potentially take this offer and negotiate. I guess look into what paycom culture is like and make a decision
Discover can and will counter offer you if your management thinks you are a valuable contributor.
I think so too, but I’m not too bullish about the growth potential at Discover.
Bro! The tech at Paycom sucks. It’ll set you back in your career by a long shot. Interview at other places, oracle is hiring, you’ll g et better pay and better tech. I hope you haven’t accepted the Paycom offer by now!
paycom is not a good company
Congratulations on the offer!! Could you please let me know about the interview process?
Thank you! The process was quick and simple. After recruiters call I had two technical interviews with the leads and senior manager on the data science team. Questions were based on my previous experience, projects and some machine learning system design questions
That’s awesome. Thank you so much :)
