Once you have about 800k to a million dollars, what is the motivation to stay in US instead of moving back to India with wife? I am 31 and have about a million dollars, and feel I can have a better standard of living in India with family and friends. After watching Shahrukh khan’s dunki, I feel even more strongly about moving back to my motherland. I watched Shahrukh khan recently in Swades and there is a deep rooted attachment to NRI returning back home. Home is where heart is. Why not follow king khan (the richest man in the world) and live a life with peace? No need to cook, do household chores and deal with loneliness, superficial friends and mental health issues. Be close to family, get drivers and cheap domestic help and live your life like a king! Don’t be a slave of visa. Be a king like SRK! Get a sea facing house in Mumbai.
The motivation is to live in a country where people don’t do the needful (💩🚽) on the streets
You are talking about a small percent of a country of 1.5B people. But I bet, you know you're wrong but just hate Indians. Hope you get through next two decades better, as you hear more great stories about rise of India.
Check facts before you do the needful (💩🚽) with your mouth: https://ourworldindata.org/grapher/people-practicing-open-defecation-of-population?time=2021
Do you need a ride to airport?
In the spirit of hyperbole: You might wanna check out how much that sea facing house in Bandra costs. Spoiler alert: that’s probably your $1M gone, and I’m assuming a 2.5 bedroom apartment. To be realistic though: even if you set aside the traffic / pollution / bad inner-city infrastructure etc, work culture in India sucks, plus people don’t really want to retire. Additionally, the golden handcuffs of a senior / staff+ level US tech job are pretty heavy.
Lol sea face house in Mumbai will need all your million dollars, what will you do for maintaining it and other expenses? Dumb idea
lol 1M is not even close to enough in Mumbai for a sea facing apartment.
Do what your heart says. For some the desire is very Strong, and it overpowers their desire to stay in US and they eventually move back. For some, they have some desire to move back but the benefits of a first world country i.e clean air, traffic, less pollution etc have them stay, so they just talk/plan about moving back but eventually are never able to execute and leave USA. Imo, both are okay and its not a small decision. You ll know in time how strong your desire to move back is. Good luck!
Lol if your life choices are governed by a movie and a celebrity, you need to go back to school and learn to be an adult again.
In India movies stars have bigger influence in politics and who people vote. They are already deciding your life choices
Every word you wrote is right. But blind is wrong place to get validation. Talk to those who have returned
