Which are the most important chapters to cover for design rounds? The ideal case is reading all of them but that's a lot... #tech #design #interview TC 450k
I read the whole book and have 18 yoe. Chapters 3,5,6 are an absolute must. If you’ve time read 8 and 9. Others are optional.
Try the audio book.
Audiobook is good but get the physical to reference diagrams and look for footnotes in places where the audiobook doesn’t quite make sense. Those spots are usually a statement that is meant to be explained by a resource linked to in a footnote.
Audio book link?
To be honest, this book is a good read even if you are not going to ab interview, it is a time better spent than spending time doing lc grind. If you have been in the industry for some time, you might have known a lot of things that are discussed in the book, though iit provides a organized thought process framework in system design (e.g. Starting with schema, then replication, partitioning and if transaction is applicable to your problem on hand.)
