170k base plus 130k equity (RSU) over three years, NYC.
Is this considered decent/good? I was hoping for senior SWE, but looks like I’m not getting it, possibly because I felt I did worse than expected on the system design round, possibly because I’m coming from a bank, or both.
How is the company itself? I hear both very good and very bad about it both here and on Glassdoor.

Main project I’d be in sounds good enough.
Definitely want to ask about work life balance, as I see some reviews saying that it’s good, but a lot more reviews saying that it’s terrible with very long hours all the time.
Tech-wise, not sure how I feel about Kotlin. Not a language I’m specifically adverse to learning or working with, but not one on my interest list either. Frontend would be React; which I do like and enjoy - I’d actually prefer leaning towards the frontend in this case, but need to ask what the balance is.
Really tough to gauge the reputation and prospects of the company...lots of both positive and negative comments all over the place.
On the positive extreme end of the scale, I see it being referenced in the “SLAW” acronym, but at the same time, why wouldn’t a company like, say, Uber be included in there?
How would WeWork look on a resume vs. one of the other companies in that SLAW acronym (or Uber)?
Recruiter told me I had some room to negotiate the cash part of the offer, so waiting on a reply now.
