Unethical, hypocritical, lying companies

What are the instances where you know a company to be doing something unethical? At Bosch, when I had put down my papers and was about to leave, the Bosch team had a problem finding a suitable replacement and thus ensuring a smooth handover. They wanted me to ask Infosys if they might give me some time in March or April (after my last working day at Bosch) for about a week or ten days at Bangalore to help them in the transition. When it came to my last working day, Bosch asked me to sign a letter stating that I would come to work after the last working day. Unless I signed this letter, Bosch threatened me that they would give me my reliving letter. My colleague once worked for a company which would not pay employees salaries if they did not perform well, but they would continue getting work done from them. Work without pay. This is in India. Another company makes employees sign employment bonds where the employee states in writing that he would not leave the company until the bond period (1-3 years) and would give his original educational and work documents as collateral to the company. This is besides the more famous cases - Susan Fowler being sexually harassed by a top performer at Uber and Uber not taking action against him because he was a top performer. The Volkswagen emissions scandal, the East India company, pay day loans, Donald Trump, HSBC drug money laundering, big pharma killing people with faulty drugs, Facebook having security loopholes which allows third party apps to get access to user data, Google and Twitter's left wing bias and so on. #tech

Every company is doing something unethical. You just don't hear about them all the time unless they get exposed...
