Hi all, Received an offer from Qualcomm Bangalore (Lead Engineer) as follows: Gross Base (Basic+HRA+flexible pay, excluding pf/gratuity): 38.5 LPA Stocks: 35k USD /3 yrs Bonus: 10% of base Joining+retention bonus: 4L + 4L Current TC (after promotion in Feb cycle): Base: 31 LPA Bonus (APB+QPB): 4 LPA Stocks: 8k USD per year YoE: MS + 5 yrs Queries: Will the Qualcomm bonus be calculated on the total base, or just on the basic pay (which is 50% of base)? Also, please comment on offer and current wlb in Qualcomm Bangalore, if any insights. Thanks :)

Base is almost similar to starting base of staff and he has only yoe of 5.
I am assuming these are the initial numbers from HR and not a negotiated offer. There is definitely room for improvement here given you are being offered lead position. Base: ~40 Stocks: 40k Bonus: 10+10
Q does not negotiate on stock right? Its usually fixed for a grade. No harm in asking though

In general qualcomm dies not believe in WLB. If you are lucky your team might be an excption. Thumb rule don't join qualcomm if you are expecting WLB.
WLB in PD teams is pretty bad in Qualcomm
