How’s SAP

Those at SAP (USA), are you enjoying working there? Provide details in career growth, benefits, wlb, wfh and pay or anything you would like to share. TC:🥜

TC?

SAP jqGR65 Aug 19, 2023

It's not great but it's enough for now.

SAP the_f Aug 19, 2023

Quite stable and low stress environment. TC is on the lower side but you are getting enough time off, reasonable WLB and decent soft benefits. RTO is a bit issue now. They are gaslighting employees and saying shit how we all love it.. while nobody wants to come back.

NTT Data CnLo2 OP Aug 20, 2023

Is rto dependent on the business unit? How many days do you get for pto?

SAP the_f Aug 20, 2023

I think all the communications we receive are for SAP North America. We’re at 2 days coming in and 3 days in was slightly delayed due to some facilities related issues. Exceptions are allowed but you have to have a valid reason. You get 15+5 PTO to get started + unlimited sick days. Benefits are publicly available here: https://www.sapnorthamericabenefits.com This PDF has about everything: https://www.sapnorthamericabenefits.com/-/media/Mercer/SAP/Documents/2023_Benefits_Guide_US.pdf

Low TC, Decent benefits, WLB

SAP yWkA28 Aug 19, 2023

I'm quite happy at Concur. I'm about 2 years into my first software job, and it's been a good environment to grow in. Got lucky with my team and direct management though. I see lots of people I'm glad I don't work with.

SAP 6lued Aug 19, 2023

I enjoy it. Don’t really care about the tech I’m working on. 2 years working so far and have gotten 1 promotion, 3 raises equaling about 20%, and about 60k RSUs on top of it. (Top performer) WLB is good too. Very flexible work schedule. Full remote. TC: 185k

NTT Data CnLo2 OP Aug 20, 2023

Is rto dependent on the business unit or manager? Which unit is the best to work in ? I’ve seen a lot of jobs in labs, concur and sovereign cloud.

SAP MtnBiker7 Aug 20, 2023

Whatever you do don’t apply for any teams or positions based out of tempe, az. That place turns over more times than I change my underwear.

SAP rndmusr1 Aug 26, 2023

It really depends on which organization you’d be a part of. For product support, I’d avoid it unless there aren’t plans to integrate with SAP. For development, unless the team you’re joining has a LOT of developers, I suspect you’d be a target for future layoffs. Sales/presales and other roles that interact face to face with customers aren’t at the same risk, and happiness seems team dependent.

NTT Data TmCf2 Aug 26, 2023

Thanks. Why would you avoid product support roles ? What’s the issue/concern with product specialist or expert positions? Is the cloud org (sovereign cloud) good to join?

SAP rndmusr1 Aug 26, 2023

The layoffs this year give the impression that support other than national security services will end up being offshored
