I’m seeing a lot of posts online lately (including on blind) of people worrying about inflation, an upcoming crash, growth stocks nuking, etc. I thought I’d share my personal plan for the next 5 years and exchange some thoughts with you. This has been my own strategy for the last couple years as well (minus the house). This is not financial advice, and is just what I’m personally doing. Do your own research friends: 35% - QQQ/VOO 30% - BTC/ETH 25% - Personal Home (Equity) 8% - Dry Powder on Celcius or QYLD on brokerage. 9-12% APY (in case there is a crash to buy the dip) 1% - Emergency Fund 1% - Passion/Interest Investments (high risk or doing it out of interest (Ex. Investing in a vr startup) Let me know what you think 💭 200k 4 YOE
What VR startup?
Good strategy. I’d include some financials there too. But good strategy
No DOGE? You're not doing it right...
Nah, no shitcoins. Could fall under my 1% personal interest section though.
Shitcoin? 😂😂 https://cointelegraph.com/news/dogecoin-foundation-works-with-ethereum-co-founder-on-doge-staking
How much did you set aside for investments?
What is your NW?
I get people doing this for short term gains i.e assuming you want to cash out in 5-10 years. But if one wants to invest long term isn’t putting all your money into S&P500 enough?
How frequently do you reallocate? What's your NW that you only need 1% for emergencies?
Similar to my strategy.. 1 QQQ and VOO (50%) —- I actually want to buy TQQQ but just there is no tool that I can invest in TQQQ periodically and automatically. RH can only buy QQQ/VOO that way. 2 I spent 10% only on BTC and ETH though as I think it’s still a bit too risk. 3 I spent 10% on ARK. 4 personal home - I m still on mortgage so technically every month I m investing some new money on real estate market.
Excellent friend 👍
No need to call me out for holding BTC/ETH or that celcius could get rugged and I lose my usdc. Already thought through that ☔️
You could split up your CeFi from just Celicus to Blockfi, Celsius, Gemini, FTX, and anchorage for holding stable coins. Reduces the risk of platform or coin specific fails....it is what I have done...
Very true, thanks for mentioning that. How has your experience with FTX and Gemini been?
