What is the deal with third party hedge fund recruiters.
I get calls from third party hedge fund and buy side headhunters from usually small recruiting firms or independent at times . They usually waste 30 mins of my day and then say they will “submit” me to an XYZ firm but then ghost and never circle back ! What is the deal with them and why can’t buy side firms have their own headhunters ? What is the strategy to actually land an interview at a hedge fund . Tc - 🥜

All 3rd party recruiters seem like time wasters. Never had success with them and seems to me they're unnecessary middlemen.
sounds about right. some of them do successfully get interviews but i suspect that they don’t hold much sway and in the end it depends upon your resume and the hiring manager or fund’s needs.
Pretty sure my resume is good enough to get atleasg one call .
