I have an offer from UKG. Some part of the my bonus will be stocks. How dies the future look like for the company ? Will they have IPO in the near future ? Is there an option to invest in the company?
Sinking ship
Don't. Especially if you are still at Google. They only award like 5-10k a year MAX in stock if you get perfect reviews. No real growth encouragement, new leadership seems completely lost. They do plan on selling out of IPOing in the future (<5 years), but their metrics and customer scores have been going down every since the merger/takeover. Also, share your offer for better transparency.
From Google to UKG... why
I need a break from big techZ google culture has been a nightmare
Peanuts for stocks, this would be a huge downgrade.
That’s correct, I’m giving up on stock which is very significant. But I am burnt out and need to get away from big tech for a while. It’s not how much you work. It’s mostly how f*up the culture is.
UKG has become like the series Game of Thrones. It was great, fun, had a clear and concise focus from the start to the middle. Now its kind of like the last season of GOT: just confused, sloppy, rushed and on fire. UKG used to be a great company to start your career because it would teach you alot of good industry practices and have great mentors. Now its barely a shadow of its former self. If you are coming to UKG for the first time don't bother you won't learn anything new here and your talents can be better suited elsewhere. If you are coming back to UKG then don't bother you have already learned everything you need to know.
