Car accident at my fault, how to avoid paying the damages?
Does anyone know how does it work in Citibank? once you get laid off does Citi gives you a month or 2 severance period or they let you go immediately?
What's going on with the reorg? Any insight?
Layoffs? I believe they are only "firing," and there aren't any layoffs. If I'm not wrong, severance doesn't come in to play for firing, right? Anyway, I have no idea about your original question though, sorry about that!!
They’ve already done at least a round of mass layoffs and Jane’s email aludes to rounds by end of Nov. Not sure what “firings” you’re referring to, those would be case by case, nothing to do with this huge restructuring. ( if you mean PIPs from Non compliance with RTO leading to termination, then no, they wouldn’t get severence).
Last round of layoffs folks had two weeks before needing to leave, then they got paid for WARN period ( if you live in NY that’s 90 days), then after the WARN period they got severence of two weeks per year.
What is WARN? Could you please elaborate?
Google WARN act. It’s a regulation governing mass layoffs. Companies either give advance notice of layoffs by filing, or they get around it by not announcing in advance and instead paying out the WARN period before the laid off employees get severence. ( so a non working “working” period of 60-90 days )
Few years back when we had reorg, we were told 2 months before the D-Date and we get 1 paycheck for every year of service at Citi
So is it going to be same even today? Or they have changed their policy? Any insights?
I don't have any insights for now as its been couple of yrs since I moved away from citi
