Dropbox onsite interview preparation

I have an on-site with Dropbox next week. Have 3 years of experience. Can anyone provide some tips/suggestions on preparation? Are there any specific areas they focus on? I heard they will thoroughly test on your system design concepts and large-scale challenges. Do they also ask about previous projects, situation-based questions, culture fit? Any insight on the interview process would be greatly helpful. Thanks in advance.

I interviewed at Dropbox at same amount of exp, I found they always (twice) asked questions about threading/locking/mutex stuff.

Like programming or just testing your knowledge on those?

Lyft mLxh62 Aug 5, 2018

Programming, like how would you design a certain mutex or locker and then coding or whiteboarding.

They have a standard (kinda lame tbh) question on multi threading with locks and mutexes they ask of everybody. You’ll be writing code and then parallelizing it. System design and coding were meh.

Pure storage does the same thing.

Do they have a behavioral round as well ?

Twitter Buckss Aug 5, 2018

They have an hour long “behavioral” round that is rather strange as well. It’s not a standard topgrading interview but rather a “tell me about a time you failed” kinda round. It’s also not conducted by the EM, which I found strange
