Dataminr back end interview.

Does anyone have any tips beside what I found in Glassdoor? All of Glassdoor seems to be for full stack.

Pretty standard coding problems and systems design. If you leet code or interviewed with other companies it’s not too different. Make sure to check your understanding of the questions asked, discuss your ideas and approach with the interviewer, don’t jump right in, demonstrate that you are coachable and collaborative and you’ll be fine. Good luck!

Thanks Dataminr would be the first company I have these type of interview with. Discussing ideas and approach first is a great advice. I would had jump right in and mumble to myself while I brute force through. This is my first step into the tier 1 world

I didn’t make it, but they stop using LC and opted for real world day to day problem. I was asked to parse a string and output it in different combination like an alert. String of x phone ids, print the alert in combination where the same phone doesn’t get beep multiple times in a row if you could avoid it. They’re all about sending alerts so it align somewhat with their day to day. Just know your data structure well and it’ll be ok
