I went through multiple onsite interviews and didn‘t get a single offer. At google nobody picked me for the team matching phase and the feedback for the others were that I did good, but there is somebody better. is that normal? I see people getting multiple offers on blind? Can you share your tricks? Feeling like a waste of life. so far: google, facebook, adobe, houzz, airbnb joe:6 TC:135
Op seems entitled.
No depressed. FYI after my successful onsite at google I was told that they found no team in 3 month, and the process stops here for me. I can reapply in 6 month ... wth
So then just re apply after 6 months. If you are talented you will crack it next time. What's the point of whining on blind. Deep down even you know there are no tricks or tips. You just were unfortunate if not untalented.
Wait... you got an offer at G, couldn’t find a team, lost offer?
Yes, I was told today. Yet the recruiter said my feedback was a bit contradicting... FYI: I didn’t go through the HC they wanted to find a team first, dunno if this is the new process
Then you didn’t do well enough to get through HC. You were indirectly told that to pass HC you needed to have a Team to want to hire you to pass.
Does that happen with Google's larger offices? Are you in the Bay Area? I've read similar stories but they were from smaller office locations. Also, LinkedIn is a top tier company. Don't lose hope. If you got offers from Google and LinkedIn, you should be capable enough to crack most of the companies.
0-80: no offer 81-85: May get the offer 86-100: Multiple offers Op you might be at 79. Multiple offer doesn’t really mean anything, because if you could pass one, you just present the same skills to another company right? So just keep trying, don’t give up at just 1 step before the offer.
Job hunt now needs lot of perseverance and ability to accept rejections
Keep trying
Keep try, don’t give up
@FB QGhE38 thanks for the scoring board. I think OP could also be 85, and just wasn’t lucky to get an offer from G, not yet, because you “may” or “may not” get the offer. Hey OP, don’t give up, it might take some “no”s to get a “hell yes”. Cheers.
Keep trying. Don’t give up
Maybe you can try smaller companies. Like start ups
