Folks recently cleared FANG tech interview, how many LC questions did you solve? I am preparing for on-site interviews in Jan, 2022 and like to get an idea how many hours/day I should commit for LC before the interview. My TC: 380k, 8 yoe, L6
It’s all luck
True .. LC would increase the luck a bit and I think this sucks
I Also just passed apple phone screen with a med lc question, waiting for onsite schedule. What org is it?
Passed MS and G. Did 134 on LC b4 the interviews 47 Easy 65 Med 26 Hard But prior to that I was prepping for Amzn for 3 months and solved around 200 on LC. Also solved around 350 on binarysearch.com and 100 on AlgoExpert. So that previous prep made me mostly ready. People think that you have to start all over again to study for theses interviews but you def don’t need to try as hard the more you practice.
Some team on Apple doesn’t do leetcode. Source: I’m on the team 😉
Can u refer me :😅
Learn the patterns properly and you can probably get away with ~20 easy and ~60 mediums to learn the wording permutations. Hards are usually just combining two patterns or using a far less common algorithm. I don’t see much reason to cram them, but read a few solutions if they are tagged for the place you are interviewing.
Did around 120, it’s good for warming up your fingers if you haven’t done this kind of problem solving.
~320
I know someone who literally had 0 leetcode questions for Apple. Instead they had framework questions and they just googled and had sticky notes on their monitor because they knew the technologies for the role they were applying for. They passed the interview and got an offer. They did 0 LC.
I didn't know there are tech interviews without any LC type questions in major tech companies
Only large companies that do team specific interviewing sometimes don’t have leetcode. Apple is one of them. Microsoft is team specific interviewing for industry hires but pretty standardized for new grad and internship pipeline. Bytedance also does team specific interviews and on leetcode discussion it seems like some people have gotten interviews with very little to no leetcode but instead interrogated about certain frameworks or domain knowledge.
