What is the number of contributions listed under your profile page? (In your company's github) Please vote if your conpany uses github or an internal version of it.
I’ve never looked for this stat
It's all nonsense anyway. I ended up on git blame for every single line of code because I was in charge of moving the code to automated formatting.
That probably counts for 1 contribution in the stats.
350 to 400. Rest of the people in my team are at like 160...
I have seen people with 1500 contributions how is that even possible I dont get it. I have reached to 800 at some point but I was working really hard and then finally got burned out.
I only know 1 person who has 1600-ish. I work about 10 hours a week while he works 45 to 50, so I guess the math checks out.
For those who voted over for over 2000 how is that possible. ~250 work days per year, so you are contributing 8 per day - one per hour👀
Maybe the structure requires a bunch of one line changes across multiple "projects" even for a single task.
I pushed node modules to master just now so I could vote over 2000. You’re welcome.
I just realized that each commit is counted as one (if you do not squash merge) So basically it is very easy to manipulate these numbers. And probably if your team only allows squash merge then you will have very low numbers.
What if your company doesn’t use GitHub
Then your vote doesn’t matter to OP LMAO
Op is referring to the company's open source projects
