Hi, I'm asking this for a friend. Got 2 offers, Shutterfly and Cigna and both are remote opportunities.YOE - 12 yrsRole - Senior Infrastructure Engineer Cigna - 135K base, no RSU or joining bonus - upto 10-15% target bonus Shutterfly - 150k base, no RSU(since private company) or joining bonus - upto 10% target bonus Friend is guessing Cigna might be low-balling, but unsure about Shutterfly in base, RSU's or Joining bonus. Also any information on the culture and WLB in both of these?
I learned from Glassdoor reviews that Cigna does not compete with market price. They always are the lower end of the spectrum. I interviewed for a PM and the job posting said 49-81k. They said their real price is 49-65k.
I wonder what a senior infrastructure engineer does. And why they get paid so little as compared to junior swe at big tech.
