I interviewed with Amperity as an analyst. I didn’t get the job and it was communicated it was because they need someone with more customer facing experience. The recruiter was so supportive saying this was the specific business need yet everyone loved me. I looked up the position on LinkedIn, people with the title who just started at Amperity. Turns out they hired a white guy with no customer facing experience with half the experience I have in general…and less than what the minimum requirements were in the requisition. Here’s where we are. #dataanalytics #amperity

you might be right, but you cant rely on linked in profiles to really evaluate someones specific work experience unless you know the actual job (at that company) behind the titles you see in their descriptions.
I do know and they listed 5 bullet points each on each company. No mention of customer facing.
perhaps, but you dont know what their resume actually has on it or more to the point, how they "described" their roles in the interview, especially if they knew they needed to spin their responsibilities to sound "customer facing"
