Both OTEs are going to be around 200-230k. I haven't received the offers yet but they should be fairly similar. What would be the better company to go to?
Which one you pick ?
I ended up taking an offer for tenable Enterprise Sales Engineer - cloud security specialist. The OTE was the same and total compensation ended up being $305K so I took this role ASAP.
Hows tenable so far? Congrats on ermetic
Sysdig’s CEO is probably wanting more funding and is raising capital to exit safely and stay above water after IPO. The goal is not to just hit IPO and then go into debt. Sometimes it’s about taking your time to prepare for a successful IPO and wanting more money doesn’t mean the metrics are not being met. I will say that with the recession it IS harder to meet metrics, but that applies to any tech company right now.
I ended up not going through with the sysdig interviews. The director for sales engineering was a complete ass and not someone I want as leadership.
Good call Crowdstrike

SysDig has more funding and later rounds but at this point I would question why they haven’t IPOd and have continued to raise a Series G. There are many reasons but when I’ve seen that in the past it’s because you’re struggling to hit the metrics for your IPO and need to keep raising I think both are good options
