“Roll your own auth” makes sense only when you are running the equivalent of a submarine’s local network, and even then it’s probably not the best idea. If their pricing doesn’t work for you look for alternatives, including non-services, but unless auth is your core business... leave it to the pros.
The total addressable market of Auth0 is anybody who authenticates into anything.
I wouldn't say that. They get pricey the most users you go, and at a certain point it makes sense to roll your own auth.
