So I keep reading on Indian media that India is right after the US and China in terms of GDP growth, overall financial power etc etc. However I do not know of any Indian company which directly connects with the client and has a global presence. For example, the US has Microsoft, Google, Twitter, General motors, General Electric etc. China has Huawei, TikTok, Alibaba. After brainstorming the only thing I could think of was Tata motors owning Jaguar Land Rover. Most of the Indian companies with a global presence otherwise work on B2B, such as TCS, Infosys etc What am I missing? TC 320K
Indians
Bobs

Mahindra is well known in the rural US for tractors. Not quite John Deere but you see them. Best I can think of
dr reddy pharma
Hindustan Unilever duh

Lot of the biggest Indian brands cater to Indian sensibilities which are different than western sensibilities.
Yatra, makemytrip, snapdeal, flipkart, MagicBricks, oyo, myntra policybazar, paisabazar , ola are the some of the companies I know .
What do you mean? Have you seen how many brands have clothing with a “made in India” tag?
Is it in an Indian brand though? That's the question. Is there an Indian origin brand with global presence
